Northeastern Jurisdiction Affirms Rights

The Northeastern Jurisdiction also affirmed its commitment to the rights of all persons at its 2012 meeting. In a resolution, the jurisdiction stated, "Clergy, lay persons and congregations may feel bound by conscience to offer the ministries and sacraments of the church to all persons on an equal basis and that even though bound to the Book of Discipline, we are also bound by Jesus' commandment to stand with the marginalized and the oppressed in our midst."

Nomination Instructions for General and Jurisdictional Conference Delegates Have Been Sent

California-Nevada Annual Conference Secretary Kristin Sachen has prepared nomination instructions for 2012 General Conference and Jurisdictional Conference delegates, which were emailed on April 20 to all churches, clergy, and laity for whom an email address is on file.
The instructions also have been posted on the 2011 Annual Conference Session page on the Conference website (scroll down to "Resources"). Delegates will be elected at this year's ACS.
